Seyda Neen is Far Too Wet

More paper has been found, and so more words may be written.

On the ship, Kiseena met a dark elf named Jiub. He was nice, but kept to himself. Did not like for Kiseena to see the scar on his face. He kept this one company, and kept this one sane. Those that owned the ship did not let Kiseena or Jiub out of the bottom of the boat, and so it felt as if Alkosh was missing. Sleep came often, and with sleep came bad dreams, strange dreams.

A woman's voice came to Kiseena in these dreams. Dark lands, terrible storms. The voice told this one that she is watching over Kiseena. That was when Jiub woke Kiseena up and said that the boat had arrived. He barely had time to say good-bye before a guard had taken Kiseena's chains away and sent this one up to the deck.

Seyda Neen was what the town was called. It looked far too wet for this one's tastes. A strange, very tall bug made an equally strange sound nearby. Kiseena was led to the docks, where an imperial guard brought me to the "Census and Excise Office," as the words on the sign read. Inside, an old man took this one's information and mentioned that a man in a nearby room would "release" this one.

Kiseena does not know what is happening. Perhaps it is a mistake, though this one hopes the mistake is found out long after Kiseena has disappeared. An imperial named Sellus Gravius said that the task now before this one was to go to a town called Balmora and speak to yet another man named Caius. Sellus told this one that the emperor himself had sent Kiseena to Vvardenfell to be released for such a task, but could not say why. No-one could say why, but Caius might know.

It is rainy here, and Kiseena has fur that does not like being wet. The large bug keeps making that noise, and people keep giving Kiseena unhappy looks. It is not the fault of Kiseena that the clothes are so worn and stained. Sneezing comes easily. At least Kiseena has some food and paper taken from the "Census and Excise Office" place, and a nice ring. It smells like magic. A room with buckets and barrels of liquid was not well watched and Kiseena has curious fingers.

First to fill this one's empty belly, and then to explore this Seyda Neen.

  1. It'd be easy to use the "can't be arrested" exploit when making a new character in order to snag a pricey limeware platter and the key to the Census Warehouse, but it would go against the realism I'm shooting for with this story.
